'So Dark the Con of Man'

I recall acquiring in 2006 a rough plot of this book when it was still in its initial stage of development as comicbook mini-series/crossover event of sort. This was a penciled sample panel sequence from the script.

Never heard from them and the series was illustrated by James Fry.
